    Your Speaker: Caroline Lefebvre, Business and Partnership Development Officer (Québec) for the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO)

     

    Caroline Lefebvre has been the Business and Partnership Development Officer (Québec) for the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) since 2007. As such, she raises awareness, informs and trains various groups, such as entrepreneurs, inventors, professors and students on the importance of an adequate intellectual protection.
    She is a Political Sciences graduate form the University of Ottawa, and has also worked in various sectors of the federal government. Her experience led her to promote, among other issues, Canadian expertise in sustainable development in emerging countries, foreign investments in Canada or the importance of the quality of web content.
    Throughout her career, she has developed a strong expertise in project and event management, and also on building strategic partnerships, and in marketing.

    Oct. 27, 2017 - Eric Williams, Grenlec's Transmission and Distribution Manager, accepting CREF's

    Grenlec was recently awarded the “Best Distributed Generation Project” award for its recent multi-site solar photovoltaic installations in Grenada. The Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) award recognises project execution excellence in the Caribbean.

    Grenlec’s award-winning 937 kW solar project consists of multiple rooftop, car port, and ground-mount solar installations in Grand Anse, Queen’s Park, Plains –
    St. Patrick.

    The project represents an innovative approach to increasing solar energy generation. These Grenlec installations together with customer-owned systems will help stabilise electricity prices for a more sustainable future, while overcoming the challenge of securing suitable, available land for renewable energy projects.

    The Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce extends congratulations to Dr. Keith Mitchell and the NNP on their victory at the polls on March 13th 2018. The people have spoken and given their overwhelming support to the New National Party. This mandate to govern comes with the expectation of responsible inclusive governance. The people of the State of Grenada will continue to monitor the development of our nation and zealously guard our sovereignty, rights and freedoms.
